lyrics

I’m feeling pretty numpty as I walk in the shop
I’m feeling pretty dizzy like I might cave in and drop
I’m playing with fire but I can’t complain
Because I would rather refrain
From staring at Queens from the dirty old window of a fast moving train

I’d never spill my soup in the parking lot
But other people out there haven’t given much thought
To the burdens that they spit out on to the street
On to the people that they don’t meet
But they’re cruising back to Jersey in that red Ford Taurus when their soup isn’t tasting so sweet

Does it really matter?
When you don’t care what you do
Someone else’s ladder has
Fallen under your shoe
Are you feeling numpty now
That conduct isn’t key
Is your head so deep in a cavern
That you just can’t see

Are you looking out your window cos you think someone’s there?
Did a little rattle shake you and tug at all of the hairs?
That like to stand up when you don’t feel right, that make you shudder in the middle of the night well the person that you’re staring at smiles and waves and he says that no ones there.

Does it really matter?
When you don’t care what you do
Someone else’s ladder has
Fallen under your shoe
Are you feeling numpty now
That conduct isn’t key
Is your head so deep in a cavern
That you just can’t see

Does it really matter?
When you don’t care what you do
Someone else’s ladder has
Fallen under your shoe
Are you feeling numpty now
That conduct isn’t key
Is your head so deep in a cavern
That you just can’t see

Are you feeling numpty now
That conduct isn’t key
Is your head so deep in a cavern
That you just can’t see
